Historic levels of federal transportation and energy funding are now available to Maryland localities under the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to address economic recovery, climate change, and support for disadvantaged and underserved communities. An estimated $7 billion of funding will be available to Maryland through dedicated state formula funds and additional funding through competitive grants.
