Hosted by the Alamo Area Council of Government (AACOG; 13 counties around San Antonio, TX), West Central Texas COG (19 counties around Abilene), and North Central Texas COG (16-county region centered Dallas and Fort Worth) for a virtual workshop to untangle these massive federal investments and learn about energy efficiency incentives in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act – tax credits, grants, and other programs intended to reduce harmful air pollution, promote energy efficiency and resiliency, and lower operating costs. Eddy Trevino, Director of the Texas State Energy Conservation Office (SECO), and Crystal Perkins, Senior Regional Advisor with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), will talk about DOE incentives for the public and private sectors. Council Of Government staff will talk about other federal programs to save energy, including from agencies like USDA, USDOT, and the EPA.
