These sessions provide an additional opportunity for input on the CPRG implementation phase following the 2022 listening sessions and Request For Information (RFI), as well as the March release of the CPRG planning grant guidance. All comments previously provided to Docket EPA-HQ-OAR-2022-0873 have been reviewed.
This session will begin with a brief overview of the legislative context and conclude with an interactive listening session.
1. What specific GHG emission reduction measures (programs, policies, projects, or actions) are you most interested in seeing funding made available for under the CPRG implementation grants program in your:
- State, and how much do you estimate the measures to cost (rough order of magnitude)
- local government, and how much do you estimate the measures to cost
- tribe, and how much do you estimate the measures to cost?
2. What program criteria should EPA use to evaluate proposed specific GHG emissions reduction measures in competitive implementation grants?
3. What types of GHG emissions reduction measures (programs, policies, projects, or actions) are:
- states best positioned to undertake to reduce GHGs?
- local governments best suited to undertake?
- tribes and territories best suited to undertake?
4. What are the greatest barriers to implementing GHG emissions reduction measures in your state, local government, or tribe?
EPA will not be responding to questions or presenting new information during these sessions. Registration is required, and the slides and a recording will be posted after the listening sessions are complete. Spanish language translation services will be offered.
Presenters will open discussion on one question at a time, for responses of 3 minutes or less per individual.
