An increasing number of states are implementing or considering adopting the Advanced Clean Trucks rule (ACT) and complementary policies. At the same time, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) provide historic levels of funding to advance clean energy and climate change solutions. States and stakeholders have access to billions of dollars in federal funding that can be used to implement the ACT rule.

This document is a resource for state legislatures, governors’ offices, executive branch agencies, businesses, communities, advocates, and others to understand how IRA and IIJA funding can be used for efficient and cost-effective implementation of the ACT rule.
