Part of Building a Better Grid Initiative, DOE is launching the Transmission Facilitation Program (TFP) and seeks your input. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) establishes a new $2.5B revolving fund that will help build out new interregional transmission lines across the country. This program will provide Federal support to overcome the financial hurdles in developing large-scale new transmission lines and upgrading  existing transmission lines, as well as the connection of microgrids in select States and U.S. territories.

On May 26 from 1-2 PM ET, DOE will host a webinar reviewing the recently released Notice of Intent and Request for Information, seeking feedback on the proposed implementation approach, specifically for applicants seeking capacity contracts.
