This report provides a detailed assessment of the key energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

The authors assess the IRA’s impact from an economy-wide vantage point, consider key impacts in the three largest emitting sectors in the US (electric power, industry, and transportation), zero in on the implications of the IRA for a few critical emerging clean technologies and look at its effect in other sectors, and quantify IRA’s impact on consumer costs and energy security and conclude with a look to the future.
