The Bureau of Reclamation’s Tribal Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial and technical support to federally recognized Indian Tribes to develop, manage, and protect tribal water and related resources. Administered through Reclamation’s Native American and International Affairs Office, the program fosters cooperative relationships between Indian Tribes and Reclamation’s five regional offices. Funding for FY 2025 will support projects aligned with federal priorities, including addressing climate change (Executive Order 14008) and advancing equity for underserved communities (Executive Order 13985). Tribes are invited to submit proposals for projects that meet the TAP’s objectives of improving water resource management, supporting tribal sovereignty, and promoting sustainable water use. Eligible projects should be directly related to the development, management, or protection of tribal water resources.
