The IIJA provides $11,615,000,000 in Construction funding (IIJA Construction funds), to remain available until expended, including $2,500,000,000 is for construction of inland flood risk management projects, of which not less than $750,000,000 is for multi-purpose projects or programs that include flood risk management benefits as a purpose. Priority in the selection of projects will be given to projects with overriding life-safety benefits as well as to projects that directly benefit economically disadvantaged communities.
