The Columbia River Basin Restoration Funding Assistance Program is a competitive grant program for environmental protection and restoration programs throughout the Columbia River Basin. The grant program offers funding assistance to eligible entities on a competitive basis.
In 2021, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law infused the Columbia River Basin Restoration Program with $79 million in funding, of which over $56 million is being awarded to Toxic Reduction Leads. These lead organizations are leveraging an additional $17 million in matching funds, for a total of almost $74 million going towards activities to improve water quality in the Columbia River Basin.
