On February 13, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced three projects to receive up to $60 million to support enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) pilot demonstration projects. Funded by the landmark Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the pilot projects will use innovative technology and a variety of development techniques to capture the earth’s abundant heat resources.
